1 ANA solider killed, 2 injured in Herat blast

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): One Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier was killed and two others injured as a result of a roadside bombing in the Adraskan district of western Herat province, an official said on Monday.

The troops were on a patrol in the Mirala area late on Sunday night when a roadside bomb ripped through their vehicle, the district chief, Lal Mohammad Omarzai, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

One soldier was killed and two others injured in the blast that destroyed the ANA’s vehicle, he said.

There has been no claim of responsibility for the blast.
