1 child killed, 3 injured in Faryab blast

MAIMANA (Pajhwok): One child has been killed and three others have been wounded in a landmine blast in northwestern Faryab, a security official said on Thursday.

Sayed Massoud Yaqubi, provincial police spokesperson, said the children — 10 to 15 years old — were grazing cattle on Wednesday when the blast happened in Almar district.

One of the wounded children is said to be in critical condition. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
