The search operation lunched six days ago in parts of the troubled town came to an end on Saturday, said Col. Mohammad Ayub Hussainkhel, the 301st zone border police commander.

He said another 32 rebels were wounded during the operation and corpses of the rebels were handed over to local elders with full respect.

“Local and foreign militants did not believe that security forces would dare to enter areas of their stronghold,” Col Hussainkhel said.
