JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Four heroin-manufacturing laboratories have been destroyed during a counternarcotics operation in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Friday.
The owner of the labs was killed during the overnight raid by Afghan Special Forces in the Marakakhel area of Sherzad district, the Nangarhar police spokesman said.
Col. Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal told Pajhwok Afghan News the raiding party razed the labs, killed two people and seized a quantity of heroin. At least one lab worker was wounded.
