5 members of a family shot dead in Parwan

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Illegal armed men have shot dead five members of a family in the Bagram district of central Parwan province, the district police chief said on Friday.

Mohammad Masoom Farzah told Pajhwok Afghan News the shooting occurred in the Qarcha locality of the district on Thursday night. The gunmen escaped after the attack.

“A man, his wife, a son and two daughters were killed mercilessly,” Farzah said, adding the hapless family was massacred after it refused to give their daughter in marriage to a man.

Police had detained three men in connection with the shooting and raids were being conducted to arrest the murderers, he added.
