MIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): As many as 63 development projects have been executed in central Maidan Wardak province, which would help benefit thousands of people, an official said on Sunday.
The projects had been implemented at a cost of 176 million afghanis within two years under the stability programme, in charge of the programme, Hazrat Gul Barakzai, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The development schemes included construction of retaining walls, culverts, dames, playgrounds and digging of wells, he said, adding that 38 more projects were underway which will be completed soon.
Acting Governor Abdul Hameed Khogyani expressed satisfaction over the development schemes carried out under the “stability” programme. He praised the officials for winning the hearts and minds of locals.
