8 passengers wounded as bus ploughs into truck

QALAT (PAJHWOK): Eight passengers were injured, some of them critically, in an accident on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in the Shar-i-Safa district of southern Zabul province on Monday.

District police chief Sardar Muhammad told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Arhadmanda area at around 11:00am when a bus collided with a truck.

The ill-fated bus was on its way from Herat to Kabul. The injured bus passengers included children, the official said, adding those in critical condition were referred to the Mirwais Hospital in Kandahar.
