KABUL (Pajhwok):  Afghan taekwondo player Roman Abbasi won bronze medal in Asian Games, beating his Kyrgyz, Indian and Yemen rivals in 63-kg competitions, the Olympic Committee said on Friday.

A number of Afghan athletes are taking part in various sports at the Asian Olympics underway in South Korea.

The Afghanistan-A cricket team stormed into Asian Games cricket final on Thursday, beating Hong Kong.

The Afghanistan Olympic Committee in a statement said Roman Abbasi had won bronze medal for Afghanistan in the Asian Olympics taekwondo competitions.
