KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): NATO).

Spread on a 10 kilometres square area, the security installations included a warehouse, a mechanical complex and cold storage, said Samim Khpalwak, the governor’s spokesman.

He said Governor Toryali Weesa a long with foreign affairs director Abdul Nafi Sana and Gen. Campbell visited the site.  Campbell said the installations would be given soon to the Afghan forces.

He added after the pull out of foreign troops dozens of Afghans would be provided with work opportunities at these installations.

Governor Weesa thanked the foreign troops for handing over the sites to Afghan forces. He said the international forces’ decade-long services would never be forgotten.

He said consent of economic and agriculture officials would be sought for more effective use of the installations. He asked foreign experts to help train residents of Dand and Daman district on protecting these facilities.
