Car accident leaves 5 people dead in Parwan

KABUL (Pajhwok): Five people were died and a woman wounded in a car accident in central Parwan province Wednesday morning, an official said.

Provincial police chief Brig. Gen. Mohammad Zaman Mamozai told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place around 7.am when a corolla car veered off the road in Pul Matak area of Charikar, the provincial capital.

He said five travelers belonged to Kapisa province were died and a woman wounded in the accident. The cause of the incident was unclear so far, he added.

The wounded woman was shifted to Charikar civil hospital for treatment, Mamozai said.

Civil hospital director Dr. Abdul Qasim Sangin said that health condition of the injured woman was stable.
