Civilians kill rebel involved in Farah policemen shooting

MAIMANA (Pajhwok): The residents in the Khwaja Sabzposh district of western Farah province on Friday shot dead a fleeing insurgent after he gunned down two policemen, the district chief said.

Hayatullah Faqiryar told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place in the afternoon in which two civilians suffered injuries.

Policeman Azizullah during had killed eight Talibaninfo-icon, including a dreaded commander, separate operations in the past.

The insurgent all in a sudden approached Azizullah and shot him dead, he said, adding that the fleeing militant gunned down another policeman Taj Muhammad.

Two civilians, he said also wounded in the fire by the rebel. Sakhi Muhammad Baig, an official of the district, confirmed the fleeing militant was later captured by residents and killed him on the spot.
