TALOQAN (Pajhwok): The dead bodies of two old men were recovered in Khwaja Ghar and Baharak districts of northern Takhar province on Sunday, the governor’s spokesman said.
Sunnatullah Taimuri told Pajhwok Afghan News one of the slain men had been axed to death while another was shot dead by unidentified militants.
“They were 60 and 90 years old. They were killed in a brutal way.” Muhammad Nabi, 90, was a resident of Khwaja Ghar district.
The body of a 60-year-old man, who could not be identified, was recovered from Baharak district. Police have started investigations to identify the killers.
