KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): The acting police chief for Spera district was killed and four others, including three of his guards, were wounded in a bomb attack in southeastern Khost province on Saturday.
The incident took place at around 2:00pm in the Khost City, the provincial capital, Baryalai Rawan, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News. He said 2nd Lt. Shabir Ahmad had come to the city for official work.
Governor Abdul Jabbar Naeemi condemned the attack as an act against Islam and humanity. Militants have not yet commented on the incident.
