The second round of discussion between Afghanistan and Central Asia was held on Sunday with the participation of 20 countries.
During the two days conference, the participants discussed regional cooperation, the terrorism challenge, narcotics, economic development, social, security and cultural relationships.
ACSS Director Daud Muradyan told Pajhwok Afghan News they discussed issues of mutual concern with Afghanistan’s northern neighbours.
“The only problem among Central Asian countries about Afghanistan is their misunderstanding. They believe Afghanistan is a terrorist state,” he remarked.
Muradyan explained the aim of the conference was to share the familiarity of Central Asian countries with Afghanistan and remove misperceptions about the Afghans.
Muraydyan added Afghanistan had made significant achievements in recent years but needed close relationships with the neighbouring countries.
