Explosives, suicide vests recovered in Paktika

SHARAN (Pajhwok): Police in southeastern Paktika province recovered 200 kilograms of explosives and two suicide vests from a car, an official said on Thursday.

Nisar Ahmad Abdul Rahimzai, director National Directorate of Security (NDS), told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosive were recovered Wednesday night by the special police force in the Mata Khan district.   

Azizullah Karwan, a police official said the explosive were being transferred to Ghazni province for carrying out subversive acts.

A month ago, police impounded an explosive-laden car in the district. however, the driver managed to escape.
