FARAH CIY (Pajhwok): A roadside bombing killed two people, including an administrative officer at the police headquarters, in western Farah province on Saturday, and official said.

The blast took place in the Shmalga village of Bala Baluk district where Col. Faizullah was on a visit to examine police check posts, the provincial police chief said.

Brig. Gen. Mohammad Razzaq Yaqubi told Pajhwok Afghan News six other policemen were wounded in the explosion. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

Public Health Director Dr. Abdul Jabbar Shaiq confirmed two dead bodies and six injured people had been brought to the hospital. The injured were in stable condition, he added.
