KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani held separate meetings with British Prime Minister David Cameron and US Secretary of State John Kerry in London late on Thursday.

Ghani and Kerry agreed on expanding bilateral relations, the peace process in Afghanistan, the neighbours’ role in this regard and other regional issues, the Presidential Palace said.

The secretary pledged all-out US support to the administration in Kabul, praising the president’s reform agenda. He said the Afghan-US partnership would continue.

At a separate meeting, Ghani and Cameron conferred on efforts to introduce reforms and restore peace in Afghanistan, strengthen the Afghan local security forces and regional cooperation.

The British premier applauded the Afghan government’s initiatives over the past two months, offering long-term cooperation with the ally. He said Afghanistan could rely on the UK as a trusted partner.
