Huge arms cache, explosives recovered in Paktika

KABUL (Pajhwok): Security forces claimed discovering seven arms depots containing weapons of different kinds and explosives during an operation in the Orgun district in southeastern Paktika province.

A statement from the governor’s office said on Friday a joint operation by the National Directorate of Security (NDS) and Afghan National Army (ANA) in Zadran valley and Jabbar village led to recovery of the weapons that could have caused huge destruction.

The statement said that huge arms caches and other ammunitions had been seized by the security forces. No one suffered casualties during the offensive, it added.
