KABUL (Pajhwok): A Seeratun Nabi (life of Prophet Muhammad) quizz contest, attended by more than 900 youngsters, was held in Kabul on Friday.

Habibullah Khan Zazai, one of the organisers, told Pajhwok Afghan News that 300 girls also took part in the competition, which was sponsored by the Jamiat-i-Islah.

The key objective behind the event is to familiarise young people with the ethics and teachings of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions.

The top six contestants will be awarded laptop, washing machine, bicycle and book. Zazai said religious scholars would evaluate the test, whose result would be announced after two weeks.

Awareness would encourage more young people to study and understand Islam and the life of Prophet Muhammad, the organser hoped.
