Currently in India to attend a regional security meeting, he told reporters in New Delhi on Tuesday the relationship between the two countries extended to Afghanistan’s security needs.
Asian News International (ANI) quoted him as saying: “On the security front, Afghanistan relies on India for (military) training and equipment.”
Over the past 13 years, the US military had helped defend democracy in Afghanistan, he said, calling the presidential elections a testament to the fact. They have invested in rebuilding Afghan forces.
