ZARANJ (PAJHWOK): An infuriated uncle shot dead his nephew over trivial issue in the Charburjak district of southwestern Nimroz province, an official said Thursday.

Muhammad Nabi, the town’s administrative chief, said the 13-year old child went missing for two days when police recovered his dead body close to the district capital.

Another security official wishing anonymity said that police had arrested his uncle who was being interrogated. He said that the family had a dispute over the ownership of agriculture land.

Khudai Raham, father of the slain child, said his son was killed mercilessly. “I don’t know why and who killed my son but the perpetrators should be brought to justice,” he added.

Separately, militants kidnapped a doctor and a passenger in Khashrood district from Nimroz-Kandahar highway today morning.

Police chief for the district said that efforts were on to ensure early release of the abducted persons.
