KABUL Brishna Sherkat (DABS) official on Wednesday rejected if the company was planning to write-off two billion afghanis payable by some government offices in unpaid electricity bills.
DABS Director General Abdul Razaq Samadi said this at the inauguration ceremony for a power distribution project in Mir Bachakot district of Kabul.
Earlier, the Independent Joint Anti-Corruption Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (MEC) had claimed that DABS was planning to write-off $1.9 billion payable by some government departments.
Mir Ghulam Jilani, the district council chief, said the distribution of power connections from the grid-2 would benefit around 1,000 families in Pul Sufyan village.
