KABUL (Pajhwok): In a latest development, Pajhwok Afghan News has formally launched Mobile App “Pajhwok” services available on Android an iOS mobile operating system. The Mobile app can be operated through smart phones.
Pajhwok mobile application is a news application designed to provide users with latest news, opinion and articles about Afghanistan. This feature requires software to access your photos and videos – only if you want to share and contribute photos and videos.
Referring to the latest development, Danish Karokhel, director and editor-in-chief of Pajhwok Afghan News, said: “More than 20 million Afghans have access to mobile phones. We want to ensure provision of latest news through latest technology to keep them updated about the day to day in the country and the world at large.”
The Mobile App can be accessed and downloaded from the Google Play Store (Android) and Apple Store (IOS). The download and accessing the Pajhwok Afghan News contents are free of cost for an introductory period of 3 months.
Pajhwok sells news about Afghanistan directly to media clients and to individual subscribers via its website.
Pajhwok Afghan News is Afghanistan’s largest independent news agency. With headquarters in Kabul, eight regional bureaus and a nationwide network of reporters and correspondents, Pajhwok delivers an average daily output of three dozen stories in Pashto, Dari and English.
Pajhwok also provides photographs, video footage and audio clips to international wire news services, television channels and radio stations.
