KABUL on Thursday met Afghan Foreign Minister, Salahuddin Rabbani to congratulate him on his winning the trust vote.
On the occasion, Syed Abrar Hussain presented a letter of felicitation to the foreign minister on behalf of Sartaj Aziz, advisor to the prime minister on national security and foreign affairs.
In his letter, the advisor wished the foreign minister a successful term and expressed the commitment to work closely with him to forge a comprehensive and enduring partnership between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Wednesday hailed parliament’s decision to approve eight ministers-designate and the National Directorate of Security (NDS) chief, promising to introduce soon replacements for the rejected ones..
A day earlier, the Wolesi Jirga held an extraordinary session, granting the vote of confidence to Rahmatullah Nabil as NDS head. The house also approved Noorul Haq Ulumi, Salahuddin Rabbani and Eklil Hakimi to head interior, foreign and finance ministries.
