IDLG deputy director Farid Mamonzai told the newly-elected PC members at a meeting in Kabul their 420 predecessors had tremendous achievements nationwide over the past four years.
The IDLG official hailed the role of ex-PC members in bringing peace and pursing development activities in their respective areas.
He said the former members had rendered many scarifies and played a key role in ensuring peace and economic prosperity in their respective constituencies.
At least 10 PC members had been killed in terrorist attacks in line of duty, he added.
