Policemen among 8 wounded in Kandahar blast

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): At least four policemen and as many civilians wounded in a motorbike explosion in southern Kandahar province on Tuesday, an officials said.

The incident took place at around 5:30pm in the first police district of Kandahar City, the provincial capital, governor’s spokesman Samim Khapalwak told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Meanwhile, the civil hospital official said that eight injured, including four policemen had been brought to the hospital. The victims were said to be in good conditions.  

And eyewitness said “several policemen and civilians wounded as result of a powerful blast.”

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the explosion.
