Protest against spiraling insecurity held

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Over a dozen civil society activists on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration against growing insecurity in western Herat province.

The protestors gathered in front of the Governor’s House and blamed security institutions for inefficiency in controlling deteriorated law and order.

They chanted slogans against security officials, members of parliament and asked the president to pay attention to improve the law and order in Herat.

The demonstrators were carrying placards with pictures of those individuals killed by unidentified gunmen during the last two days.
