AIBAK (Pajhwok): A new building for the traffic department was inaugurated in Aibak, the capital of northern Samangan province, an official said Wednesday.
The 13-rooms building cost 10 million afghanis and was constructed on 3,000 square metres, provincial police chief, Brig. Gen. Mohammad Akram Bekzad, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The budget, he said for the construction of the building was allocated by the Ministry of Interior.
Col. Abdul Qadir Panjsheri, director traffic department, said earlier the staff was working in a small place amid multiple problems. The new building would resolve all the problems of the officials, he added.
According to local officials, majority of the departments of the province were lacked proper buildings but 95 percent of the problem had resolved in the past few years.
