KABUL Football Federation (AFF) announced appointment of German national Slaven Skeledzic as the new coach of the national football team.
The newly-appointed trainer had earlier coached under 19 and 17 teams in Germany. Skeledzic, 43, has wide experience as football coach. He played football for many years in Germany.
Speaking to reporters, Skeledzic, expressed satisfaction to be appointed as head coach of Afghanistan football team. “I will definitely share my experiences to enhance the performance of Afghan players. I will lead them to victory on national and international level,” he said.
AFF officials said that all issues had been finalized and that Skeledzic would join the national team in near future.
A football fan said: “We welcome the new coach. It will be a challenging job for Skeledzic to lead the national team to victory.”
