Suicide attack kills ANA soldier in Helmand

LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): One Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier was feared dead when a suicide bomber targeted ANA in Greshk district of southern Helmand province on Saturday, a security official said.

Gen. Mahmood, deputy commander of 205^th Maiwand Military Corps, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Yakhchal area of the district around 2:30 pm today’s afternoon.

One ANA soldier, he said was killed and three others wounded in the attack as per initial information.

According to another official wishing not to be named said that the bomber targeted the ANA’s 6^th Battalion commander Ahmad Bik. However, he had no information about casualties.
