GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Militants who burnt the dead bodies of Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers six days back in southern Ghazni province have not yet delivered the corpses to their families, officials said on Friday.

The ANA soldiers were abducted by gunmen on their way to Kabul from Kandahar some weeks ago. Later, the captives’ bodies were torched.

Nazifullah Sultani, spokesman for the 203rd ANA Corps, told Pajhwok Afghan News the soldiers were shot dead after being pulled out of vehicles in Andar district some weeks back.

Taliban near Khwazai area but he overpowered a militant, snatched his gun and shot six of his captors dead. Another insurgent, in retaliatory fire, killed the soldier before his body was set on fire.
