KABUL Cricket Board (ACB) with medals and letter of appreciations.

The Afghan U-19 team quashed leading teams of Emirates, Hong Kong, Nepal, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in the Asian Premiere League matches held in Kuwait on November 9 and became the champions.

Fazl Hadi Muslimyar, speaker of upper house, expressed optimism that the team would also win the 2016 world championship.

Muslimyar also praised Afghanistan’s A-team’s victory against Pakistan-A during a friendly match watched by President Ashraf Ghani and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad a week earlier.

The Afghan U-19 is currently ranked seven among 130 countries.
