QALAT (Pajhwok): A newly-constructed building for the Quick Reaction Force has been inaugurated in southern Zabul province.

Governor Ashraf Nasiri told Pajhwok Afghan News the building had been constructed in two years at a cost of $5.5 million provided by the United States.

He thanked the US for its support to Afghan security forces, hoping the facility would boost the morale of Afghan security forces.

Police chief Brig. Gen. Ghulam Sakhi Rough Lewanai said the force previously had no headquarters. He said all operations of the force would be directed from the facility.
