KABUL (Pajhwok): Hundreds of enraged protestors on Wednesday rallied in Kabul for the early removal of high-ranking Bagrami district officials.
Over 300 people took to the streets at around 9:00am in Ahmad Shah Baba Mena, asking the government to fire district head, police chief, revenue and other officials.
One of the protestors, Saifur Rahman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the officials aided land grabbers and making fake documents to grab state property.
But Syed Shamsuddin Qarizada, the town’s administrative chief, rejected the allegations. During his one year in office, he claimed regaining many acres of state land.
The official added he would be willing to stand trial if the protestors could support their claims with evidence.
