FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Civil servants from more than 14 public institutions have completed a six-month basic training on English language, computer programmes and management skills in Badakhshan province, the German Cooperation with Afghanistan (GCA) said on Thursday.
The training course was conducted by the Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Services Commission (IARCSC) of Badakhshan at a cost of 1,600,000 afs to enable civil workers to use office software, communicate effectively in English and enhance operational skills.
Employees from the governor’s office, the Departments of Education’s Affairs participated in the course.
Acting Governor Dr. Shah Wali Allah Adib said: “Training on computer programmes, English language and management skills are hugely important for capacity development of civil servants. In the end, this will boost good governance and better service delivery to the population.”
IARCSC official Ghulam Farooq Qate believed with the completion of the six-month basic training, participants had become familiar with a new skill set that enabled them to fulfil their responsibilities.
