Masked insurgents gun down 4 passengers in Ghazni

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Four passengers have been killed by Talibaninfo-icon militants in the Aab Band district of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Tuesday.

Acting Governor Mohammad Ali Ahmadi told Pajhwok Afghan News the passengers traveling in a car from Ghazni City to the district were stopped and shot dead late on Monday.

A son of Hakimullah, a member of High Peace Councilinfo-icon, was also among the dead. A resident of Tawda China area confirmed the deaths, saying a group of masked gunmen stopped and shot them to death without asking questions.

The district is located on the Kabulinfo-icon-Kandahar highway, 75 kilometers from Ghazni City. Most parts of the district are under Taliban’s control.
