Probe into Nangarhar carnage progressing well: CEO

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah said on Tuesday that investigations into Nangarhar massacre was underway and provincial authorities were directed to bolster security.

He said this while inquiring about the healthinfo-icon of those wounded at Sardar Dawood Khan Hospital in Kabul, a press release from CEO’s office stated.

He condemned the suicide attack and prayed for swift recovery of the injured and praised the doctors in the hospital for their endeavors of treatment patients.

“All the wounded were brought in to the hospital in critical condition and it is indeed a matter of pride no injured is died. It is because of Allah’s mercy and hard endeavors of health staff of the hospital”, the statement said.

He assured that security of Nangarhar would be enhanced and that those behind the barbaric act would be taken to task.
