Parwan seminary, 2 schools to get buildings

CHARIKARinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Construction work on buildings for a seminary and two schools was launched on Monday in Charikar, the capital of central Parwan province, an official said.

Educationinfo-icon Director Zalmai Shaheedi told Pajhwok Afghan News the projects would be completed at a cost of $560,000, which had been provided by Japan.

The seminary building would have eight class rooms and four offices, he said, adding that a total 51 seminaries and Darul-ul-Hifaz existed in the province where 1,463 students were enrolled. He said 27 seminaries had buildings, but the rest operated in rents or in the open.

The another two buildings for Faiz Mohammad Shaheed High and a primary school in Charikar would enable students to study in a proper environmentinfo-icon.

As many as 950 students of the two schools currently study under the open skies.
