NATO surveillance drone crashes in Khost

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): A NATOinfo-icon surveillance drone crashed into a mountain in southeastern Khost province on Monday, an official said.

Whishing anonymity, the provincial official told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place at around 4pm in Oqbai area of Sabari district in northern part of the province.

He said the unmanned aircraft crashed against a mountain due to a technical fault and burst into flames.

Nasar Gul, a resident of the area, said he saw the drone crashing. He said no insurgent activity was involved.

Foreigner forces and the Talibaninfo-icon have not yet commented on the crash.
