Pashto-French dictionary published

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Compiling and written by Afghan writer, Pashtoinfo-icon to French dictionary containing 40,000 words has been published in France.

Written by Dr. Mohammad Akbar Wardak, the dictionary has been published by a French publication company “L’ASIATHEQUE, maison des langues du monde.”  The pronunciation for each word is written in Latin.

Grammatical information including identification of every word was also added to the dictionary.

The dictionary would help citizens of both the countries in learning of Pashto and French languages. It would also help improve travelers of the two countries to understand each other better.

A few months ago, a Pashto-Chinese dictionary was also published.

Mohammad Akbar Wardak has pursued higher educationinfo-icon in medical in France. He also translated several articles from French language into Pashto.
