Women Affairs Ministry presents 100-day plan

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Minister of Womeninfo-icon Affairs (MoFA) Delbar Nazari while explaining her 100-day plan said on Monday in the first preference she would set up a fund to assist women victims of violence.

She said establishing a support center for homeless women released from jails, efforts to curtail women jail terms and evaluating relevant departments in the capital and provinces would also be among her 100-day plan.

Speaking at a news conference here in Kabul, Nazari said she would also discuss with relevant departments as how to strengthen healthinfo-icon and educationinfo-icon services for women and help them deploy in government departments.

She added that women who were critically affected by violence would get assistance from the fund.

Nazari added that her plan also included deploying a female officer in the Supreme Court and hiring them as governors, mayors and ambassadors.
