FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Four children were killed and a fifth was wounded in a landmine blast in western Ghorinfo-icon province, an official said on Friday.

The children were grazing animals near a mountain in Bara Khana area on Thursday when the improvised explosive device (IED) went off, killing four of them and injuring a girl.

Mohammad Zaman Azimi, the acting police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the injured girl was shifted to hospital in critical condition.

Initial investigation suggested the bomb had recently been planted by Talibaninfo-icon militants, the police chief said. Mohammad, a local resident, said the blast took place near the house of the victims
