KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah has said that anti-state elements are out to kill Afghan elders but the countrymen will serve Afghan people irrespective of any threats.

A statement from the CEO office said that Abdullah travelled to eastern Kunar province to offer condolences following the tragic killing of Mian Hassan Adil.

Unidentified gunmen killed former Kunar provincial head Mian Hassan Aadil on Saturday and the CEO admired his efforts and services for the people of Kunar.

The CEO said that vacuum which had been left by the death of Aadil would never be filled. “The anti-state groups want to kill Afghan elders but patriotic Afghans will never deter to serve the people,” he added.

“I have come to offer condolences this time but will soon visit to address the issues of the people,” the CEO has said.
