Women, children among 9 killed in Ghazni bus-car collision

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Nine people, including womeninfo-icon and children, were killed in a traffic accident in southern Ghazni province on Thursday morning, an official said.

Mohammad Ullah Ahamdi, head of traffic police, told Pajhwok Afghan News a passenger bus collided with a car and all nine occupants of the car died on the spot. Two women, as many children and five men were among the dead.

Dr. Baz Mohammad Himnat, director of the Ghazni Civil Hospital, confirmed nine dead bodies had been brought to the hospital.

Samiullah, an eye witness, said the bus hit the car and killed all its occupants. The driver was a drug addict, he added.  The Kabulinfo-icon-Kandahar road sees the highest number of accidentsin the country.
