Police detain burqa-clad man in Badghis

QALA-I-NAW (Pajhwok): Police arrested a burq-clad man in northern Badghis province, an official said Monday.

Provincial police chief Col. Mohammad Qayyum Angar told Pajhwok Afghan News the man who wore a head to toe shawl tried to cross police check post but he was identified and held in Chakar area of Qala-i-Naw, the capital of Badghis.

The arrested man is the resident of Kadas area of Qala-i-Naw and being questioned by police.

Angar said the arrested man was a militant who was previously released from jail and had plans to attack government officials and installations.
