3 policemen killed in Uruzgan roadside bombing

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Three policemen have been killed and eight others wounded in a roadside bombing in the Chora district of central Uruzgan province, an official said on Saturday.

District chief Abdul Malik told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place on the outskirts of the district centre last night when police were returning to their headquarters after conducted clearing operations in different areas.

He said two policemen and a deputy district police chief were killed and eight others wounded in the explosion. The wounded were evacuated to Kandahar hospitals, some of the injured in critical condition.

The Talibaninfo-icon have not commented on the incident yet.
