GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): At least six civilians were killed and three others wounded in roadside bombing in the Deh Yak district of southern Ghazni province on Tuesday, officials said.

Mohammad Shafiq Nang, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place at around 9am when a rickshaw struck the roadside bomb in the Rubat area of Deh Yak.

Three womeninfo-icon, two children and a man were killed and three others injured, he said, adding the ill-fated three-wheeler was its way from Deh Yak to Ghazni City -- the provincial capital.

Giving an eyewitness witness of the incident, resident Wahidullah claimed seeing six bodies and three wounded people at the site.

Karimullah Amiri, Deh Yak’s administrative chief, confirmed the bombing and said all victims were members of a family. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
