‘Afghanistan in Flames of Proxy War’ hits newsstands

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): A new Pashtoinfo-icon-language book, titled Afghanistaninfo-icon in Flames of Proxy War,has hit newsstands in Kabul.

Authored by senior journalist Zubair Shafiqi, the 392-page tomehas been printed by the Aksos Bookstore in this capital city.

Important political issues, realities, national and international actors engaged in the country over the past 10 years have been discussed in the book.

Gripping as it is, the last chapter includes some predictions regarding the President Ashraf Ghani-led government.

In the preface, Shafiqi has shed light on the three major aspects of the ongoing game in Afghanistan, including the role of neighbours, especially Pakistaninfo-icon.

Also highlighted are the establishmentof a weak government as a result of the Bonn Conference and its bad impact, as well asobjectives of the international community, particularly the US.
