Afghanistan, Iran agree to improve bilateral cooperation

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Afghanistaninfo-icon and Iran on Sunday agreed to form various committees for the management of bilateral relations in various sectors at the micro-level.

The decision reached between National Security Advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar and Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Reza Bahrami during a meeting in Kabul, a statement from the National Security Council (NSC) office said.

“Afghanistan wants to improved ties with Iran and the proposed committees will monitor cooperation in various sectors,” the NSC statement quoted Atmar as saying.

At the meeting, the Iranian envoy said his country valued its relations with Afghanistan based on certain principles of brotherhood.
