FIROZKOH (Pajhwok): Talibaninfo-icon militants stoned a woman to death in public and whipped a man after the couple had eloped in western Ghorinfo-icon province, officials said on Monday.

The 20-year-old married woman, who was stoned to death, and the man, who received 100 lashes, had escaped to Murghab locality and they were punished in Firozkoh, the provincial capital, on Sunday, said Abdul Ghafor, a resident of the area.
